Hi everyone! My name is Leila and I'm the maker behind MimzyMakes. I'm a full-time mom of four (we homeschool) who also works part time as a bookkeeper and co-runs a farm sanctuary with my mom.

I learned to crochet from my mom when I was young but didn't have the patience to finish the two projects that I started 🫠 I didn't try again till 2022 when I decided I wanted to make stuffed toys for my kids for Christmas at the time. With the help of YouTube videos (visual learner here 🙋‍♀️) I succeeded in making a frog and a bunny in time for Christmas. And I was hooked 😜 (pun intended) I have never found a hobby that has held my attention and captured my thoughts like crochet has. And I have dabbled in many different things. Painting, clay, needle felting, sewing, diamond art. I have enjoyed this journey so much and turning it into a business has pushed me out of my comfort zone but the dream is to be able to pay for all the yarn I could want and make all the beautiful things 😍✨
